. . . something I've never thought seriously of. I always expected a camera to take pictures and nothing more, thus never planned to invest in photography equipment as I do now. In 2005 I've popped into TrekLens, well actually a friend of mine recommended it to me, where I've posted my first picture (taken with Olympus C-1). That picture has brought me some inspiration. It was a quick decision. Decided to buy a better equipment, could not afford a dSLR so a hybrid was the choice. With time my skills have improved and seeked for a more advanced camera, finally moved onto a dSLR, Canon EOS 350D in fact. Almost all of my work can be found on TL web site, as well as here in the gallery section. For the curious ones, my photo equipment has been listed below (click on thumbnails to enlarge photographs). Photography has become my passion, a new hobby . . . |

1996/7 - Minolta RIVA Zoom 75w was my first camera. 2001 - Olympus Camedia C-1 as shown on the left was my first digital camera, which replaced analogue Minolta. C-1 has 1.3mb pixels. I still use it under more extreme weather conditions. |

2005 - Seeking more advanced digital camera I've decided to go for Fuji S5500. A so called hybrid DSLR. Had more andvanced functions than a common compact machine, pretty good optical zoom, and the ability to hold filters. Had quite a lot of accessories, including various types of filters and a lens hood. | |

2006 - Next step, a DSLR. Sold the Fuji one. Canon EOS 350D is my current camera which I do not intend to have replaced any time soon. Here seen with KIT lens attached. Good enough for a starter. |

The back of EOS 350D. Now the back LCD holds a protective slim film, which helps to avoid scratches and finger tip marks. |

Upgraded with Sigma 55-200mm tele-lens. This was my first tele lens. Its focal length was only up to 200mm, but for my first lens of this type was good enough for a start. Bought it second hand, and just wanted to try it out, and see of tele lens is what I really need. |

350D originally came with KIT lens Canon 18-55mm EF-S f/3.5-5.6, replaced by second hand Sigma 28-105mm f/3.8-5.6 UC-III Aspherical IF, with much faster AF (auto focus). As shown, EOS is now equipped with a battery grip, which improves handling and better power management. |

Sigma tele 55-200mm was replaced by a much better built Tamron 70-300mm. With a wider focal length it was a better option for me, privided me with better close ups. Value for money was excellent - quality wise as well. |

This is my latest zoom lens. This time a brand new Sigma, with much better and wider focal length of 18-125mm and f/3.5-5.6. It replaced Sigma 28-105mm where its focal range wasn't good for indoor use. |
